Sainsbury’s has launched a premium quality Dry-Cured
Ham, using the traditional methods pioneered by Yorkshire
butcher, Jack Scaife, more than a Century ago.
Following the success of its Jack Scaife bacon range
earlier this year, the latest product to be launched
by Sainsbury’s using the traditional Jack Scaife
Dry-Curing Process is Taste The Difference Jack Scaife
Dry-Cured Cooked Ham. This unique ham has been hand-rubbed
with sea salt which, once cured and cooked, produces
a mild taste and allows the full flavour of the ham
to be enhanced.
This new premium pre-packed cooked ham is a welcome
addition to Sainsbury’s growing and diverse
‘Taste The Difference’ range. It has a
very traditional taste and natural look and is also
thicker and dryer in texture than many other cooked
meats on the market. Jack Scaife’s son-in-law,
Chris Battle, is still in charge at fine food manufacturer,
Cranswick, to ensure his late father-in-law’s
traditional curing methods are exactly the same as
they were a Century ago.
Sainsbury’s Taste The
Difference Jack Scaife Dry-Cured Cooked Ham is ideal
for use in salads, sandwiches or simply served with
chutney and farmhouse cheddar to make the ultimate delicious
and wholesome rustic platter. It also makes the perfect
addition to buffets and Hors D’oeuvres, and definitely
something to add to your shopping list. |
